I don’t know how the winter has been where you live, but it has been very odd here. We have had a couple of weekends with bad weather, but for the most part, our winter has felt more like spring. And now, spring is just around the corner.
Around our house, with March beginning, we have flowers coming up, trees budding, and spring peepers making a lot of noise at night. We could very well still experience some winter weather, but it feels like spring may have sprung a bit early.
With spring comes a change in schedule for my family. Basketball season is over, so my cheerleader daughter has more free time. But with the warmer weather, my kids are feeling the urge to get outside a lot more. The coming weeks will probably see a significant increase in outdoor activities.
On the other hand, with the kids out in the yard, inside the house is more quiet, making it a bit easier to write and create. Although, the temptation is strong to head outside with my kids and enjoy the fresh air.
In case you missed them, here are the top seven posts from JeffRandleman.com for the month of February.

- 6 Characteristics Of A Good Communicator
- The Difference Between Purpose, Vision, and Mission
- My Current Philosophy Of Ministry
- Why You Need To Develop A Philosophy Of Ministry
- 7 Steps To Defining A Purpose And Vision For Youth Ministry
- Trying A New Bible Reading System
This is almost exactly the same list as last month, and even almost in the same order. It continues to amaze me just how consistent some of these posts are. Almost all of these are from the Foundations of Youth Ministry series, or the series on communication. However, coming in at the very next spot on the list, eighth, was Classic Bible: My Favorite Passages From Nehemiah. This post has never achieved such a high amount of traffic.
I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating: It is easy to only look at the top seven and skip the next few slots. But often those positions are more telling than the ones that make the top of the list.
The point is, people are reading a lot of different things here on JeffRandleman.com. And this is a very good thing.
February also saw something of an increase in comments. This is not to the level I would like to see it, but conversation is happening. That, too, is a good thing.
From my point of view, my favorite post from the month of February was Dealing With Spiritual Dryness. This post came in around the number 30 point on the list, receiving a significant amount of traffic, but nowhere near the top posts. And this time of year, many people feel like their spiritual lives are dry, and they are ready for something to change. Luckily, there are some things we can do to alleviate this.
I am praying that you have a great month! I look forward to seeing what God brings in the weeks to come!

This time of year seems hard to gain traction for some reason…
