Book Review – Chronicles Of Dinosauria by Dave Woetzel

Chronicles of DinosauriaOne of the most often claimed statements heard from the evolutionist worldview is that man and dinosaurs did not co-exist.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

And Dave Woetzel has done an incredible job of presenting the evidence that this is the case. Simply put, land dinosaurs were created on day six of the creation week, along with every other land animal… and man. Aquatic dinosaurs would have been created the day before with the rest of the sea creatures.

In Chronicles Of Dinosauria, Woetzel gives breathtaking details of the history, the mythology and more of dinosaurs throughout the centuries since God created the earth and everything on it.

Here is the video trailer for the book.

Woetzel starts off by establishing the facts of the existence of dinosaurs, presented in the creation story and how they would have fit into the flood event of early Genesis. From there, he examines the fossil evidence of dinosaurs and how that fits into the story of humanity. Following that, he presents several chapters examining the historical, the artistic and the cryptozoological evidence, finally concluding with the biblical evidence.

There are several amazing elements to the Chronicles Of Dinosauria. There are several human artifacts found in the lower fossil record, such as the bell found in a lump of “300 million year old” coal, bearing similarities to both Babylonian and Hindu religious characters. How did it become encased in that coal? The obvious answer is that the coal isn’t as old as it is assumed to be in an evolutionary worldview. It must be much younger.

This isn’t the only such artifact discovered. There is an ancient hammer found encased in stone, a cast iron pot found in coal, and advanced stone tools found in California gold mines. And there are more, most of them found in layers containing dinosaur fossils, indicating that man did indeed coexist with these beasts.

In another chapter, Woetzel takes a look at the various dragon mythologies found around the world, and explains just how these stories could have their roots in real animals, fitting the description of dinosaurs. Not only do these stories appear in almost every culture throughout history, they are also recorded in authoritative journals, such as the records of Alexander the Great and Marco Polo. And many of these reports are dated as recently as the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth centuries.

From fossils to books to art, dinosaurs have been shown to coexist with man. But are they all gone? Many animals and plants that were thought to be extinct have been found in recent years. Might dinosaurs also be found to be alive one day? I think the possibility is there, and would not be surprised if such an animal is discovered in the near future.

On top of all the evidence presented from these sources, Woetzel finishes the book with a look at the biblical evidence of these incredible creatures. From Job to Isaiah to Ezekiel, in Numbers and in Revelation, dinosaurs are described with exquisite detail.

The conclusion is that dinosaurs did not exist eons before man. Dinosaurs were created along with the rest of the earth, and have lived with man until the very recent past, if not even today.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Chronicles Of Dinosauria. Much of what Woetzel has presented will find its way into the lessons and sermons I teach, presenting the case that the earth isn’t as old as many assume, and that God did some amazing things when he created it.

I highly recommend that you get a copy and read it. You might be surprised at what you learn from it.
